Purpose
In addition to the core PRINCE2®, The Complete Project Manager (TCPMTM) price includes 3 one-day modules which provide the delegates with the practical skills required to successfully execute projects in the workplace. After a short period of applying the skills learnt on a project at the work place, delegates attend a 1 hour assessment interview & are then awarded the qualification. |
Content
Module # 1: Building Project Plans & Risk Assessments
Practical hands-on introduction to building PRINCE2® project plans & risk assessments. Delegates will create Gantt charts for a new project, use task dependencies, milestones and learn about other commonly used features such as outlining. Practical course work is undertaken by the delegates during the course and valuable printed material is included for delegates to take away for their use in the work-place.
Module # 2: Communication Skills
Effective communication is critical to project success. Indeed research indicates that ineffective communication between and among key Stakeholders, the Executive, Senior Users and Suppliers (as per PRINCE2® model) are one of the primary causes of project failure. The purpose of this module is to illustrate the complexity of the problems and develop a toolkit of solutions.
The issue is examined through a combination of seminar and practical modules.
Module # 3: Project Financials
Clearly projects must run “on time & budget” to be considered a success. Therefore budgeting and financial management play a leading role also in the success of PRINCE2® project delivery. This module has been specifically designed for Project Managers without a background in finance.
This is a practical module which will familiarise delegates with key aspects of project financials. Practical examples and hands-on spreadsheet models will be used. Some familiarity with spreadsheets is therefore beneficial (not essential) as formulas will be used during this module. |
